今回は、GOB技術に関連した新たな製品として、取引先のGOB加工工場でご紹介いただいた「ミラーモジュール」についてご説明いたします。
本製品は、従来のLEDモジュールとは異なり、表面に特殊な反射フィルムを施した仕様となっています。外観は鏡のような高い反射性を持ち、電源をオフにした状態ではミラーパネルとして機能します。一見すると通常の鏡と変わらない仕上がりですが、電源をオンにすることでLEDディスプレイとして映像表示が可能となる点が大きな特長です。
ベースとなっているのはGOB 1.5仕様のモジュールで、その表面に反射フィルムを加工しています。GOB特有の耐久性や保護性能は維持しながら、デザイン性を大幅に高めた構造です。表面は滑らかで、質感にも高級感があります。

This time, I would like to introduce a new product related to GOB technology: the “Mirror Module,” which was presented to us during a visit to one of our partner GOB processing factories.
Unlike conventional LED modules, this product features a specially applied reflective film on its surface. When powered off, it functions as a mirror with a high level of reflectivity, visually indistinguishable from a standard mirror. However, once powered on, it transforms into a fully functional LED display capable of delivering dynamic visual content. This dual functionality is the defining characteristic of the product.
The base structure utilizes a GOB 1.5 specification module, with the reflective film applied to the surface. It retains the durability and protective advantages inherent to GOB technology while significantly enhancing aesthetic appeal. The surface is smooth and refined, offering a premium finish.
The key value of the Mirror Module lies in its ability to integrate “mirror” and “display” into a single solution. When configured into a large-scale installation, it can serve as a full-sized mirror reflecting the surrounding environment. By combining this reflective quality with video playback, it enables entirely new types of spatial and visual experiences beyond what traditional LED displays can achieve.
Potential applications include entertainment venues such as clubs and event spaces, where moving lights can interact with the reflective surface to create dynamic and immersive effects. In offices or commercial facilities, the module can seamlessly function as a mirror in its idle state and switch to visual display when needed, offering both practicality and impact.
As this is achieved through additional processing applied to a standard module, it remains a specialized yet realistically implementable solution in terms of cost.
